Christmas Fayre!
Thu 27 Nov 2025Our Christmas Fayre is taking place TODAY from 3:30 - 5pm.
It is a CASH ONLY event, so please bring plenty of change! All money raised goes to our PSFA.
A reminder that we will also be joined by E L Mitcham Photography, who will be in the library offering mini festive photoshoots!

Year 2 Victorian Day

This half term, the children in Year 2 will be learning about The Victorian Era. We will be exploring many of the differences between life then and now; especially those connected to children such as toys, clothes, homes and school life.
To enhance their understanding of a Victorian Classroom, we will be having a Victorian Day for children in Year 2 in school on:
Tuesday 25 November 2025
The children will be able to experience a different school day by writing on slate boards, reciting multiplication tables, sewing etc. The emphasis will be on having lots of fun exploring different activities not on the strictness of Victorian Times.
If your child would like to come to school dressed in Victorian style clothing this would be lovely but there is absolutely no obligation to do so. If your child prefers to wear the modern-day school uniform, that is fine.
Teaching staff will be dressed as ‘then and now’ too - one member of staff in each classroom will be dressed as a Victorian teacher, the other dressed as normal!

Children in Need 2025
Fri 14 Nov 2025A reminder that we are holding our second non-uniform day on Friday 14 November, in exchange for donations to the bottle tombola for the upcoming Christmas Fayre.
This date coincides with Children in Need, if you would like to made a donation to the charity, please click here to be directed to our donations page (we will not be collecting cash donations).
As our children will already be in non-uniform, we invite them to wear something yellow or spotty to show support for Children in Need.
We would like to thank you for stationary donations last week, and your continued support and generosity.

Following on from the renaming of our annual ‘Anti-Bullying Week’ to ‘Friendship & Kindness Week’, (in order to focus more upon the positive behaviours that we are aiming to encourage from the children) I thought you might like some details about the organisation of the week.
We will still mark Anti-Bullying Week through the Jigsaw sessions taught, but our whole school display will focus upon friendship and kindness.
Our ‘Friendship & Kindness’ week will take place between Monday 10 – Friday 14 November 2025 to coincide with Anti-Bullying week dates.
Activities for the week
- Assemblies – These will carry a friendship and kindness theme throughout the week, alongside listening to a song about friendship.
- Jigsaw lessons - lessons will be covered during the week which will help to raise awareness and equip the children with an understanding as to how to identify and stop bullying from happening, alongside promoting kind behaviors.
- School display – A friendship and kindness display, (which can be found in the corridor leading out to the playground), will be updated to celebrate our work carried out during the week.

The Anti-Bullying Alliance provide a useful parent tool pack. Please note: Our Academy will not be organising the ‘Wear Odd Socks Day’ detailed within the parent pack.
We hope that the week will be a great success and that the children will gain a greater understanding of the impact that kind behaviour can have on everyone.
