This week we are exploring report writing. This is similar to the recount writing we looked at last week but we encourage the children to think of exciting headlines and try to include a quote from someone involved in the report. The children might remember writing newspaper reports about their 'bombed' classroom in Year 1 or the Victorian children in Year 2? We have included a sporting event clip as an example but if you prefer to complete a report on a personal event, that is absolutely fine. Maybe you are going to see a relative for the first time since March - that would be an exciting headline!
