Y1 trip to Botanical Gardens

During the Summer Term, Year 1 had a trip to the Botanical Gardens. During our visit we dressed up as Scientists and had lots of fun carrying out experiments with 'walking water' and we also learnt how to find the DNA of a strawberry, incredible!

After this we explored the gardens and saw lots of things like a 200 year old tree, many different varieties of cacti, lots of beautiful flowers and we even had fun in the bamboo maze. Science was all around us and we truly had a 'tree' mendous time.
