NATIONAL SCHOOL CLOSURES
4 January 2021
Following the latest Government announcement tonight (4 January 2021), Marston Green Infant Academy will now be closed until February half-term, with the exception of children of Critical Key Workers and vulnerable children.
The Academy will be closed to all children tomorrow, Tuesday 5 January 2021 in order to prepare for Critical Key Worker Provision, which will commence from Wednesday 6 January 2021 to qualifying pupils.
For all other children, Home Learning will be available via our Academy website; regular feedback from your child’s class teacher will be provided via SeeSaws. If you do not yet have access to SeeSaws, please contact the school office via email (info@mgis.org.uk).
If one or more parent is a Critical Key Worker, please complete the online form below by 12pm tomorrow, Tuesday 5 January 2021 at the latest, to enable us to plan group bubbles and appropriate staffing.
Any children with no form completed after this time will be presumed as having no Critical Key Worker status and therefore will not be attending school. For the full list of Government defined ‘Critical Workers’ please click here.

🦠COVID REPORTING🦠
We have been informed by the Local Authority that we will still need to track and report positive cases of COVID-19 in our pupils over the half-term break.
In order to do so efficiently, we have created a dedicated email address for parents to report positive results to us as soon as they receive them:
covid@mgis.org.uk
If you do need to report a positive result, please include the following details in the email:
🟢 Your child’s name & class
🟢 Date of positive test
🟢 Date symptoms began
🟢 Names of any other children within school that they have been in close contact with, but are not in their year group/class bubble
🟢 Parent contact number (we may need to speak to you for further details)
This inbox will be monitored daily, and we will respond to parents within 24 hours.
You do not need to report negative test results.
Fingers crossed no one will need to use this service and we can all enjoy the half-term break without any further cases! 🤞
