Dear Parents

I am delighted to be able to write to you to confirm that as from today this school will be known as Marston Green Infant Academy.

As you are aware the Governors took the decision to apply for Academy status in October 2013. At times it has proven to be a difficult journey, however the Governors persevered in their belief that it was the right course of action to secure the future success of this school.

The Secretary of State for Education has recognised the high standards of achievement of our pupils, the sustained levels of attainment that are consistently above national and borough averages and our continued success as an outstanding school.  As an Academy we will endeavour to continue to build on our current success, and move forward in ways that benefit our children.

Today sees the start of a new era in the education of our children and staff and Governors are proud to have achieved this milestone.  Our commitment to providing the highest quality education for each and every child in our school remains firm.

I hope that all parents will join with me, children, staff and Governors in ensuring that Marston Green Infant Academy continues to enjoy “Outstanding” success in the future.
