• Pirate Dressing Up Day

  During this half term our topic in Year 2 has been ‘Pirates’. The children have had a lot of fun making pirate hats and boats, researching famous pirates and even learning how to ‘talk like a pirate!’ On Thursday 24 October we will be having a pirate picnic within the school grounds, where the children will get the opportunity to sing sea shanties and even taste homemade soup and bread, hard tack biscuits and fruit juice grog! On this occasion the children can attend school in a pirate costume of their choice (striped top and leggings etc).

  The children are very excited and it should be a fun day for all.
