Childcare for children aged 2 - 3 years

About Us

Pre-School is part of Marston Green Infant Academy, we offer full and part-time places to children aged 2 - 3 years old.  We offer 2 and 3 year old funded places (15/30 hours) as well as wrap around care. 

We also offer an Spring and Summer Term intake to children who have turned 3 years old during the previous term, but do not attend our School Nursery (subject to availabilty of places) .

Funded Places

All 3 year olds are entitled to 15 hours a week free early education in an Ofsted registered setting the term after their third birthday, or in a School Nursery in the September after your child’s third birthday.

Some children may be eligible to an additional 15 hours free early education each week. See further information about 30 hour funding below. 

If your child child turns 3 during the academic year, they can join Pre-School for 15 or 30 hour funded places at the following intakes (dependant on availability):

Spring Intake - children born from 1 September - 31 December

Summer Intake - children born from 1 January - 31 March

Children born between 1 April - 31 August will be invited to apply for School Nursery at the main intake in the September after they turn 3. 

30 Hours - Are you eligible?

You can visit the www.gov.uk website to check your eligibility. 

If you are eligible, you will receive a code which you will need to provide to us to confirm prior to your child starting.

2 year old funding - Are you eligible?

You will be eligible for a free childcare place of up to 15 hours per week (up to a maximum number of hours per term) if your family receive at least one of the following benefits:

• Income Support
• Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA)
• Income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
• support through part 6 of the Immigration and Asylum Act
• the guaranteed element of State Pension Credit
• Child Tax Credit or Working Tax Credit with a gross annual income of no more than £16,190
• Working Tax Credit 4-week run on
• Universal Credit with net earnings below £15,400

You are not eligible if you claim Working Tax Credits and Child Tax Credits at the same time.

Extras

Lunchtime

If your child is attending Pre-School during lunchtime, we can provide them with a cooked meal, which will be at a cost of £2.70. Alternatively you can provide your child with a packed lunch from home.

Additional Hours

We can accommodate children for early drop-offs from 7.30am and late collections until 6.00pm. 

Full Year Place / Holiday Club

The free 30 hour entitlement is during term time only, however we do run a Holiday Club at an additional cost, for childcare provision all year round
