Below is a list of useful websites that offer free resources and activities for children and parents.

Many of these websites require setting up an account to access content.

 

    Twinkl is a website that contains 100s of activities, worksheets and learning ideas and guidance for parents. An account is required to access resources but during the school closure, they are offering free accounts to parents.

 

  Purplemash is a website that contains lots of different tools for the children to use that can help with their work. Think of it like windows for children. .

 

Teach your monster to read is a website and accompanying app that uses a phonics based approach to reading by children helping their own personal monster to start reading. Requires a free account login.

 

Phonics play is used in school during phonics sessions. It provides phonics based activities for the children to practise their sounds. Phonics play have also provided a free membership to support home learning.

Oxford Owl contains ebook versions of many of the books that we send home from our school reading scheme. Requires a free account login

 

ICT games - Contains lots of different learning games, many of which can be accessed on a tablet. Games are organised by age and subject.

 

Topmarks – Contains lots of different learning games, many of which can be accessed on a tablet. Games are organised by age and subject.

 

BBC Bitesize. Contains lots of information and games across many different subjects for children.

 

Go Noodle – A range of videos to encourage physical movement and exercise. Also have a selection of videos to support mindfulness, reflective thinking and relaxation.

 

The Bugs group offer Dance, Yoga and Football activities which some of your children may remember from lessons in school. They are currently offering free videos to help keep your whole family active.

 

Cosmic yoga offer Yoga guides for kids to help you relax and be mindful at home

 

Teach Active (Maths of the Day) have a range of maths ideas to get children active whilst also revising their maths skills. Learning maths can be fun!

The Body Coach TV

A range of 5 minute workouts for children to complete at home.

Alongside this his channel will also provide live free workouts every morning at 9am for children at home.

 

Mr T’s Phonics

Over 600 hundred videos aimed to help children read using phonics, grammar, spelling and punctuation.

 

Alphablocks

A range of videos to support early reading.

 

Numberblocks

A range of videos to support mathematics.

 

Happy Learning English

A range of educational videos for all ages, which are mainly based around science and maths.
