Invent a new animal.

 

Your task is to invent a new animal.

 

Describe what it looks like, where it lives, what it does, what it eats. 

 

To get some inspiration you could look at the ‘Imaginary Creatures’ sheet or you could play one of these games or have a look at Mr Moore's invented animal.

 

 

 

Use Purplemash to create a story

 

Your task is to use purplemash to create your own story.

 

For those of you who haven’t tried it yet check out the Purple mash website

Purplemash is a website that contains lots of different tools for the children to use that can help with their work. Think of it like windows for children.

 

The children have a logon in the front of their home learning books but if they did not receive a home learning book then they can use the logon below.

Can you find 2Create a Story (it’s in the tools section).

 

See if you can write your own story book and add some pictures too.

 

If you are really clever you could even try adding some animations to your story.

Phonics

 

Try the read write inc speed sounds by video every day at the times shown below (Don’t work if you miss a sessions they keep the on their youtube channel for 24 hours.

 

Year 1 are working on Set 2 and 3 sounds

 

They also post a video each day of a teacher reading a poem for Year 1 children to join in with at 2.00 pm every day. The poems will be available to watch again and again on YouTube.

Geraldine the Giraffe does Phonics

 

This week Geraldine is learning the ‘air’ sound. Watch Geraldine's video and see if you can join in by sounding out the words with her (just like we do at school).
