Our topic for the second Spring Term is NURSERY RHYMES! We are going to have lots of fun singing nursery rhymes and thinking about different nursery rhyme characters.
There are lots of other things going on this half-term too such as World Book Day (1st March 2018), a special Mother's Day Stay and Play Session (9th March 2018) and an Easter Coffee Morning/Open Morning (27th March 2018).
Parents' Evening is also taking place on 5th and 6th March 2018.
Our topic for the first spring term is Houses and Homes and will consist of the following sub-topics:
A home that's an igloo
A home that's the sea
This is my home it belongs to me
Hansel and Gretel who lived in the wood
The three little wolves and the pig that's not good
We'll travel around the world in the big red bath
and see which other homes come across our path!
Please visit the website again soon for photographs throughout the topic and please come along to the Stay and Play sessions each Friday if you are free, we would love to see you there!
Nursery Post Office Visit We had a great time this week walking down to the post office and finding the tall red letter box to post the fantastic letters we wrote to our special people....have you received yours yet? We had lots of fun along the way talking about what we could see; dustbin carts, buses, the butchers, the hairdressers, the chip shop, the Chinese, the petrol station, Subway, the dentist and the sweet shop. We were very good at following instructions and keeping safe. Thank you to all the helpers who were able to join us, enjoy looking through the photographs below!
Our topic for this half-term is Celebrations!! Our sub-topics are as follows:
Chinese New Year
During this half-term we shall also be taking part in Anti-Bullying Week and the theme, 'All Equal, All Different'. A non-uniform day has been organised for Thursday 16th November 2017 and children and staff are invited to wear blue clothing in exchange for donating £1 towards raising money for the work that Bullying UK carries out.
We shall also be very busy practising songs for the Christmas Nativity taking place on 11th and 12th December (9:15a.m/2:30p.m).
Reminder: The Christmas Fayre is being held after school on Thursday 30th November 2017. Stay and Play sessions are held in Nursery every Friday for the first half-an-hour of each session. We hope to see you there!
Our topic for this half-term is ALL ABOUT ME!
We have been getting to know one another in Nursery and making lots of new friends!
We have been finding out about our bodies and what we can do (such as catching a ball).
We have been discussing our likes and interests (and which flavour ice-cream we like the most!)
