Marston Green Infant School was opened in 1971 and became Marston Green Infant Academy on 1st April 2014. It has an outstanding reputation within the local community for academic achievement. With over three hundred pupils, a Nursery unit, Pre-School, Full Day Care and a Before and After School Club, we strive to meet the needs of our working parents. Our aim is to provide a community that values and celebrates individuals and their achievements and encourages them to develop their potential to become useful and productive young citizens.

We have a Day Nursery, Marston Green Leapfrogs Nursery which offers ‘wrap around service’ on site. This provides a Day Care Nursery for children aged 6 weeks to 3 years. The facilities are open 50 weeks a year between the hours of 7.30am and 6.00pm. The school also manages a before and after school club called Leapfrogs B&A Club. This offers a breakfast club as well as a homework club at the end of the day. Leapfrogs provide a playscheme on Inset days and during school holidays.

| Our outdoor creative curriculum area encourages the development of children’s imagination in a safe, stimulating play environment. There are 16 new computers in our ICT suite, 30 mobile laptops that can be used throughout the school, 3 desktop computers in each classroom and an interactive whiteboard in every classroom. These resources are used to enhance the childrens’ learning throughout the curriculum. |
All year groups have an annual educational visit in order to enhance their educational experiences and to expand the topics being taught. These places include Local farms and forests, Coventry Cathedral, The Transport Museum, Local Churches, The Village Library and The Black Country Museum.
We have a Parents’ Council and regular Inspire workshops to enable parents to actively participate in lessons. Children are encouraged on ‘Open Door Day’, to invite parents into their classrooms in order to celebrate pupils’ achievements.
