About Us
Pre-School 2 is part of Marston Green Infant Academy, we offer full and part-time places to children aged 3 - 4 years old. Pre-School 2 works in conjunction with children attending our School Nursery, by offering extended funded hours (30 hour places) as well as wrap around care.
We also offer an Easter and Summer Term intake to children who have turned 3 years old during the previous term, but do not attend our School Nursery.
Funded Places
All 3 and 4 year olds are entitled to 15 hours a week free early education in an Ofsted registered setting the term after their third birthday, or in a School Nursery in the September after your child’s third birthday.
Some children may be eligible to an additional 15 hours free early education each week. See further information about 30 hour funding below.
If your child child turns 3 during the academic year, they can join Pre-School 2 for 15 or 30 hour funded places at the following intakes (dependant on availability):
Spring Intake - children born from 1 September - 31 December
Summer Intake - children born from 1 January - 31 March
Children born between 1 April - 31 August will be invited to apply for School Nursery at the main intake in the September after they turn 3.
30 Hour Funded Places
If your child is entitled to 30 hour funding, and turns 3 years old before the main September intake, they will attend both our School Nursery (15 hours) and Pre-School 2 setting (15 hours) each day.
This means your child could attend for the following hours:

If your child joins Pre-School 2 during the Spring or Summer Intake, they will be offered the full 30 hour place at Pre-School 2.

If you are eligible, you will receive a code which you will need to provide to us to confirm prior to your child starting.

Extras
Lunchtime
If your child is attending Pre-School during lunchtime, we can provide them with a cooked meal, which will be at a cost of £2.30. Alternatively you can provide your child with a packed lunch from home.
Additional Hours
We can accommodate children for early drop-offs from 7.30am and late collections until 6.00pm.
Full Year Place / Holiday Club
The free 30 hour entitlement is during term time only, however we do run a Holiday Club at an additional cost, for childcare provision all year round
