As we get closer to the return date we understand and recognise that this could feel a little daunting to many of our pupils. As adults we understand how difficult it can be to go back to work after a period off and this is exactly the same for our children. A little preparation and a few practiced strategies can help our children overcome their anxieties or the butterflies in their stomach.
We have shared a few of these ideas below for you to take the time to have a look through at home. We have included a wide range so you can find the best strategy for your child.
If you would like further support or a conversation about supporting your child’s mental health, please contact the school office and register interest, our Child & Family Support Worker, Mr Walker will arrange a time for a call.
Our Trained Mental Health First Aiders are:
► Beverley Elliott (Headteacher)
► Dawn Woolven (SENCO, Assistant Head)
► Nick Walker (Child & Family Support Worker)
