Today our school is 50 years old!!!
Marston Green Infant School opened on 22nd February 1971 and it has seen lots of changes since then. It has welcomed lots of different teachers, headteachers and thousands of pupils over the years. It also changed its name to Marston Green Infant Academy along the way!
In the year ahead, there will be lots of different activities for us all to get involved in so that we can celebrate and remember events from over the years. Maybe your parents or grandparents came to the school? Do they remember their teachers? Mrs Pinches came to the school when it hadn’t been opened very long but Mrs Griffiths is so old that the school wasn’t even built when she started school!!! Mr Perks came to our school and Ms Winn’s son did too! Miss Dunbar’s daughter now comes to the Academy, just like you. Talk about your family’s memories of the school – if you have a funny story or a photo you’d like to share, the school office would love to hear from you.
This afternoon, we would like you to celebrate this special event and have a party. We are sorry that we can’t all be together but we have included some activities that you might like to complete and hopefully we will all be together really soon.
You don't have to complete the activities we have provided - any fun, party activities will be fine. Please remember to keep in touch via Seesaw. Have a fun afternoon.
