Mrs Griffiths and Mrs Pinches
Our Topics are The Great Fire of London and Good to be me!
We are exploring the history topic of The Great Fire of London during the first half term; linking to their knowledge of modern London, geographical understanding of maps and writing diary entries just like Samuel Pepys. We will have lots of fun with art and craft activiies and will turn our classroom into a museum which parents can visit on June 6th! We will also have a visit from West Midlands Fire Service and invite our families in to help build our very own fire engines.
In the second half term, we will focus on healthy choices - food and exercise and prepare to move on to Key Stage 2. Transition activities have been arranged with the local Junior School and we will also have fun events like Sports Day and a Science Parent Workshop.
Further information on content taught, dates for the diary etc. can be found below.
We will update the page with photographs and information regularly. Remember, if you have any questions about Year 2 or Class 9 specifically, please speak to one of us at the end of the day.
